Absolutely not. I even have different bottles for the bikes so they don't clash. Nope. Not a girl thang at all.

I'm an Arione guy, myself. My butt likes the "flex wings."

And really, about Brooks, I don't hate them but I do think they're overrated, sort of like the current batch of Martin guitars. And their fans are insufferable. I gave up on my Pro for a Unicanitor in 1976.

Someone wrote that they found a DF seat that they could ride a whole hour without pain and numbness----------impressive!!!! I ride my bent for hours on end with no pain or numbness at all.

Soneone else said he could invent a recumbent seat that would cause pain. Isnt that kind of silly. One of the main reasons that bent riders like their bents is the seats are comfortable.

Yen, I think Oilman meant it costs $500 in the whole trial and error process, not the price of the saddle you finally settle on.

did you notice that not all of them cost that much?

outwest5 02-26-11 10:34 PM

The ones in the case behind lock and key did. I didn't notice the others.

You might want to try one of the allay saddles. See http://www.allaysaddles.com/?lkz=en They are modestly priced and work well for me anyway. Just another alternative that I think is worth trying if you haven't found anything you really like.

I guess I don't understand your comment. Help me out here, please. Thanks.

I don't get it either. But there's this:

A man walks in to the library and asks for a book on suicide.
Says the librarian "Forget it, you won't bring it back."

Amen, I have a B17, B17 narrow, and a B67. Through the years I have tried others but keep going back to the best - Brooks.

I finally settled on this seat, and I love it. For once, all the manufacturer claims turned out to be true. I went from perineal related numbess (you can figure out what that means) on any ride over an hour or so, to no numbness whatsoever, ever. And after a few rides, no butt soreness. Full length cutouts rule. Not cheap, but worth it for me.
