We now have 200 folks who have identified themselves as 50+ members!
Who would have thunk?
Sort of amazing to me.

Hard to tell. A big impetus came from the thread about the kryptonite lock you could open with a ball point pen. Seemingly 1000's of folks joined BFN at that time.
But, we have had a number of folks who stated that they joined because of the 50+ forum, and they really liked the idea of the 50+ forum, especially some folks starting or returning to bicycling.
I know there are a lot more folks in the forum who are 50+, but for whatever reason don't care to identify themselves.
Anyway, for me this has been a lot of fun - seeing if we can get this 50+ forum off the ground. I think we have done that.

Meaningless Numbers
I may have indicated that I am 50+ (an therefore included in your total of 50+ riders) but I am still against the 50+ thread and will not post there although I may read the posts. I really haven't seen anything in the 50+ area that couldn't be posted elsewhere. If someone has a question, I think it ought to be posted to a non-age or sex-related sub-forum area.
Sorry, but I refuse to grow old.

Go figure.

Isn't Eddie Merckx 59 now? I wouldn't try to keep up with him. I'd bet he'd be polite enough to wait for me though.

I like this forum. Most people posting can spell and most actually have something interesting to say. Way to go Fox.

[QUOTE=DnvrFox]Interesting.
I just got a pm this morning stating:"............................................"
The quote ended with "Sorry, but I refuse to grow old." I guess he dosen't get that that's "exactly" why many of us 50+ers keep pump'n the peddle's, keep get'n mature (not) old and enjoying the encouragement & fellowship of other "mature" folks.

Fifty plus forum is good. I have passed a lot of mile stones to be where I am at today. It is even better to know that others traveled the same path a tad further. I would say that the Fifty plus forum is more considerate to our way of life.
It takes the likes of DnvrFox to make this all work.

Grow up???? Who wants to grow up. My toys just got bigger and more expensive. Hope I never grow up. More fun to tease the youngsters that way.

I wish you didn't do it though. Looking at the numbers I didn't think I was that old.
