This'll probably jinx it..
..but my knee has been behaving pretty good so far this year, good enough that I'm going to start pushing it some. This is a coastal plains area so natural hills are non existant and now that construction is finished on an overpass in my area that has a wide sidewalk/bikepath and adjacent parking area I'm going to start repeats back and forth over it.
What I'm not sure of is what would make a good training schedule. At first I think I'll just dip my toe in the water and shoot for five reps (ten climbs) at a minimum-moderate effort for about a week. Assess that and add a couple of reps at the same effort level for a week and after that, if all is going well add reps and effort or just one of either.
Any ideas?
TIA, Brad

That actually sounds pretty darn boring to me Brad.
Better than nothing (climbing wise) I guess, but my idea (since you asked for ideas!) would be to take a holiday to the nearest mountain range (with roads), and do some long (several miles) but not steep (5% or less) climbs and see how it goes.
If it goes well, try some steeper climbs on following days.

Thanks, Rick. It is boring, but I'm a bit time constrained as hills like you describe are 40-50 miles away.
