Should I give back my medal?

I took some ibuprophen before a hilly ride in 1986. Everyone got a cute little plastic token for finishing... should I give mine back? I can't live with the guilt...

You know, it really is something you should decide on your own. (I do realize you are being sarcastic or tongue in cheek with the post.)

But it does remind me. There's a story about Arnold Palmer winning a golf tournament and years later he was looking over his score card when he realized he had added wrong. It wasn't detected at the time of the tournament and someone else should have won. He tried to give the prize back, but the organization that sponsored/produced the tournament was out of business. No one on the planet knew he didn't really win but him. To bring it forward so many years later.... Well, to me, that's a class guy.

Now that is a list of Banned substances as of jan 2005. As with all lists- they change over the years so I think a bit more investigation is in order.

No idea wher you will be able to find it but I suggest that you start looking for those substances that were banned at the time of the Offence.

So until definitely proved one way or the other- You are under suspicion.

Just tell them the former teammate is motivated by jealousy and hoping to get a high view count for his post.

This is real character. Something that seems to be in short supply these days . . . not only in cycling or sports in general, but our overall culture.

It's also like that guy that bought a house in Utah(?), found a buttload of cash in the attic, and returned it to the PO's heirs. Real character indeed.

On the other hand, perhaps there are still a lot of folks out there with character. Their deeds are always overwhelmed by the overreporting of the activities of those with no character -- Sheen, Schwarzenegger, etc.

I took a NoDoze on the recent 1200k. I hope that Untouchable guy doesn't catch up with me...

Are you saying that Pie is in the same class as some banned substances?

If it is I will defend the right of everyone on this forum to disregard all drug tests till Yokey Dokey is found Innocent (Or guilty as the case may be.)

I asked my friend Lance about your preticament and he said that it happened in the past so your off the hook. But when you think about it, because time is always moving forward, everything is in the past, so I guess you can just do what you want all the time without repercussions. So the next time some young whippersnapper tries to pass me he's getting a frame pump in his spokes.

the FRAMEPUMP... of course. I'm always trying to think of what to shove into some bike-nazi's spokes. How I can overlook the obvious.

Caffeine is banned?

Oh.

I guess I should give back the finishers medals I received for participating. I drank coffee and shot gels just before those events.

Oh, the shame.

But wait - everyone else did, too! Doesn't that "level the playing field"?
