2 cyclists hit & run in Pittsburgh

I guess it is that time of year again to report another hit and run SUV vs bicyclist. I do not know either of the injured riders but pray they recover. The link is to a TV news report which implies the bikes ran into the SUV. The hit and run part is unforgivable regardless of the right of way issues. How do you run over 2 bikes and not know you did it at 7:30 am no less.

Amen, and I do hope the driver comes forward or gets turned in.

Just had one yesterday in Madison, Wi. The woman dragged a biker for a bit and would not have stopped except another vehicle blocked her. She got away and ran into another car. I figure she'll get caught.

I loved that interview with one of the Doctors....You have to remember that we as bicyclists have little to protect us so you need to treat us as newborns...
I get so pissed at the lack of caring of some cagers, it must be so hard for them to take their foot of the gas, brake a little, steer a little and then put their foot back on the gas... Was that so hard.

That intersection area at Allegheny River and Washington Blvd is bad. No shoulder, no run off area, traffic usually going considerably faster than the posted speed.

My prayers are with these two docs from Children's Hospital that were hit.
