I can see clearly now....

A few weeks (months?) back I posted that I was having eye surgery for a tear in the retina that was the result of trauma induced when I hit an off-lead dog broadside that ran in front of me while I was traveling at about 20 mph. I had a second surgery shortly after the first. Today, I had my third follow-up visit and everything is holding. The prognosis is that 90+% of these kind of repairs hold once they've held this long. I'll need a new set of glasses with a slightly different prescription, but consider that a VERY MINOR detail at this point. Frankly, I was surprised at how relieved I felt walking out of the ophthalmologist's office today.

Great news, I think eyesight is something we take SOOOO for granted, until we come close to loosing it. I have a friend who had a screwdriver get poked completely into his eye,, they did NOT think they were going to save it, but he now has the same result as you, much more sight than they ever thought they would recover from it..
