N+1 is BikeForum shorthand for acquiring another bike. It is like the math notation, N, N+1, N+2, ...

N+1 is the fundamental force of nature regarding bicycle acquisition. The number of bicycles you have now is "N". The number of bicycles you need is "N+1".
