Fine print:
This is a not-for-profit effort. One of my personal goals is to not end up being out of pocket in doing this.
Because of that, I have no room for error. I can't make refunds or changes to completed orders. I can't change sizes after I place the order.
This entire process will take a while. I've put a three week deadline for payment, and the company takes a about 6 weeks to make them.
Prices reflect paypal fees, postage from the company and postage to you, plus a bit for tape and labels and such.

Just a warning to those that will be buying- The sizing is a bit tight. I take a medium in Europen manufactures and they are just a bit loose. (Except for Assos who seem to think we are all 6ft tall and thin.) That Euro medium is a 38" chest and talking to CCCorlew-He suggested going by the medium sizing and not the 38". The medium in club cut is listed as a 42" and may have been a bit large as a 42. As a medium it fits perfectly. That is in Club cut. For those without a Gut- The race cut may be perfect.

And After 4? years of mine it still washes perfectly but it has shrunk a bit round the gut area:rolleyes::rolleyes:- So allow a bit of expansion room by getting the Club cut if your weight is beginning to be re-distributed.

And Thanks CCCorlew for taking the effort to re-arrange for the members again.

Doug.

How to order a 50+ jersey or kit :

Not trying to be funny but could a PLUS 70 be special ordered?

BTW, red/white and black are my favorite colors too. ;)

scroca 09-05-11 10:20 AM

I placed an order. I hope I did it right... the paypal thing and all, that is. I think I did because they sent an email confirmation.

Thanks much, I found the answer here..

"Q: Will you make a 60+, or 70+ or whatever jersey?
A: I don't plan to. For me, the jersey is more about the forum and community here than some specific age."

Some of us here are a long way from 50. Wish it wasn't the case..:)

Just a short question:
If I use PayPal to send money, do I need an account? When I go to paypal.com, I have a couple choices to make: "Friends and Family" or "Buy Something", and then for each one there are a few payment methods, with different fees attached. Sorry to be dense, but which options should I be using?

You need to make an account and buy something, I think.

Club cut medium is 42". I am a 38" chest and Rather than go for the chest size- I went for the size jersey that I normally wear that is a Medium. I don't like jerseys skin tight but I don't like lots of baggy material either. Looking at the tables and I should have gone for a Small or Even XS. I never buy XS- even though I am smallish build so was going to order small. Conversing with CCCorlew and I went for the medium.

Before posting I checked the size on my jersey and it is Club Cut in Medium. I am a 38" chest but the Gut has expanded a bit but as you can see from the pic- the medium fits me.

I have read the entire thread, and the FAQ. Please consider *in the future* possibly doing this in a 5XL and/or a 6XL? Yes, higher costs are the Norm for these tent-sized objects, but some of us would really like them~! Some of us are are both Clyde/Athena and 50+ - and would LOVE to get one of these. Please explore this for the future orders? I do not know if you have tried in the past or not? I do understand that doing so in this order period is not an option.

I'll check with the company that makes them and see. Right now the limits are xs and 4xl.

Peter_C 09-06-11 08:40 AM

No worries, I understand. I am only hoping for the future :)

rck 09-06-11 09:14 AM

I'll be ordering, however, it may take me a little time as I'm not sure what! That plus I need to access a friends account at playpal and let them pay or create my own.

bigbadwullf 09-06-11 10:29 AM

Hate Pay Pal but understand the need for it. Will see if my password still works or I have to spend a 1/2-hour trying to get into my Pay Pal account as per usual. ;)

Brew1 09-06-11 11:25 AM

Placed an order today under Bruce Landry
Paid as gift via paypal, hope that's okay.

Thanks,

Curtis, is the jersey you are wearing in this photo a race cut or a club cut? Thanks.

That's a club cut medium. Only in my dreams do i wear a race cut.
BTW, this photo makes me look a bit thinner than I really am. It must be the light and perspective. I wish I really was as thin as I look here.
