Wife had the afternoon planned so had to do pie ride early. Couldn't get the bike and the pie in the same picture, but did overlay picture of computer to verify I did the requisite distance to offset the calories. Hot apple pie with cinnamon ice cream. Never saw cinnamon ice cream any place else except "Kings", but it sure is good on hot apple pie.

For the first time, I am going to have to take a postponement.

Wife is ill, and I was up a lot last night, not feeling well also.

I did about 40 miles yesterday, and may have to cheat and count that - or get it in next week,

Rode 15 miles to Marie Callender's, had Blueberry pie (the official pie of the Fifty+ subforum), and biked back. Hoped the combination of a ride and a leather seat would tempt the rain gods (Austin needs it), but alas, no rain.

We rode, round trip, 33 miles to Mullica Hill, NJ to an Amish Farm Market. Light rain for a short part of the ride, but we pushed forward on our mission.

I had blueberry, of course, and TheMister had some sort of berry combo.

NOS88: I am sorry to report I didn't eat an extra slice for you, however, the slice I ate was certainly big enough for the two of us!

No photos of the bikes, as there was no outdoor seating. I'm not sure about this as I didn't test them, but I believe the Amish may be a bit fussy about allowing bikes (and buggies) in their markets. Just a hunch.

Arrrrugh, you wouldn't beleive how hard it is to find PIE, in Colorado Springs!!! Cakes, Cheese Cake, Pasitries, ect. abound but it's like there's a complete conspricy against PIE! After checking out several eatries, we FINALLY found one downtown with PIE.

A really good Apple Pie, luckly so we decided to have lunch then pie, well it was still "breakfast" so we had PIE first and waited for 20 mins. for Lunch! Sorry the photo is so poor, it's our crummy cell phone cams. The photo is my wife JoLynn, showing off the prize, Mileage 18 miles. For some reason my cellphone wouldn't take a photo of ME Alas the bike had to be put in a bike rack to far out to get it in the photo. SUCCESS!

short ride, just over 15 - had to work at the company picnic this morning and the two places nearby with good pie close somewhat early. Biked to the Countryside Cafe and had a dynamite peach pie. I was the last person in the place before closing so they were cleaning up around me. uuummmm good. more miles tomorrow. kind of a birthday treat for myself. 60 yesterday

No ride today but I did attend a bike celebration They were celebrating the 20th year of the Little Miami Scenic Trail at the Xenia Station in Xenia, Ohio. Nice turnout and most people were on their bikes.

I overdid a ride earlier this week and need to take a few days off the bike No pie either

Cloudy, cool day, 26 miles down with a slight headwind, 26 miles back with a little stronger tailwind. Got sprinkled on a few times. Had my first spill in 7 years of riding (not counting a user induced error into a ditch whilst battling 4 mutts); was crossing a steep angled RR crossing, and tire slipped out when it hit the rail. Went down on my side, guy behind me endo'ed trying to avoid running over my head. A few bruises, a couple minor scrapes. Continued the ride to the pie shop, gotta keep the priorities straight...
Pies consumed: Coconut Creme, Apple Crisp, and Ozark Berry.

I had to work today so my ride into work was my Pie Ride. It is 15.47 miles one way so I made it in over the 15 mile mark.
There are no places along the way that sell pie, so I made an apple pie yesterday , put a nice slice in a tupperware and tucked that into my back pack along with my shoes & clothes.



My ride home this evening was 15.47 miles also, so I think I am well within the rules to consider that a completely separate ride and cut myself an other slice of pie.

I rode with a couple of friends to Maebob's Diner in Irwinton for a great meal of fried chicken and veggies with lemon pie for dessert.

Think of it as the slice "we" had. It was delicious, but I was distracted from my pie when TheMister asked someone to take our picture while we were eating. I was reluctant to smile for fear of having blueberries all over my teeth!

I learned the last time I did a pie ride in the ol'hometown that there is no pie to be found unless I want Denny's apple pie. I don't like apple pie. So, I did 19.6 smiley miles and enjoyed every one of them. Props to Mr S. She knew it was pie day and brought home a little, tiny, boxed "Old Fashioned Lemon Pie". That's why I married her. Pie was good, too, but kinda small. I took a pic, I'll try to post it soon. Sometimes I hate this town

Had to leave house first to buy some pie. Got a so called premiere brand cherry pie, cause quite frankly I prefer cherry to blueberry. Suited up and rode an unexpected 32 miles. So two pieces for me. Unfortunately despite being rained on for last 8 miles, ride was great, but pie not so much. Will try a pie recovery ride tomorrow and dig into the apple pie I also bought.

N+1 plus pie! Bought my wife a new bike today, a Trek entry level. We went for our first ride on her new bike... Got the 15 miles in: Went to Cheddars to celebrate our pie ride with some proper Apple pie a-la-mode.We ate it all!

Late ride due to waiting for a couple of other riders and the weather.This morning was out due to rain and a bit of wind. Went to Fuscardi's again on the seafront but NO Blueberry. I thought they closed at 7PM and we got there about 6 only to find that this week they changed closing time to 6. So it was grab What they had left which for me was a Pecan slice- the nearest to a Fruit Pie they had- except for Apple that I had earlier in the week and didn't fancy again.



Got back in daylight- just about but I'll have to get the lights fitted. Those evenings are drawing in

I won this same TREK Lexa at a bike expo this past spring! I already had a TREK WSD 1.5, but I actually like the Lexa more.
