50+ riders on a very hilly 59-mile ride, with two Cat 3 climbs and a Cat 5, plus rollers, rollers, rollers, and a south wind at 15-25 mph (yes, we were going south). We started from the train depot on Dickson St. in Fayetteville and rode to the Arkansas and Missouri train station in Van Buren. The last photo shows the view looking toward Rudy, Arkansas.

Bronze Crush was way at the other end of the car. We had a designated group to load the bikes, and they were very careful. Wish you could have been there. You would have loved the old railroad car. The first photo shows a Roadie hanging out the window taking a shot at a freight train that caused our train to be switched so it could pass.
This was a really hard ride. Still recovering .

Very cool ride, nice that they gave your group a whole car just for the bikes! Was this a private excursion just for a bike group? Any pics from the bike portion of the trip?

Shifty -- this was a ride sponsored by the local Tri-Sport Club. The Ozark Roadies and this Club do a lot of joint rides together. Please check out the Ozark Roadies on Facebook, for some great photos and several videos on this ride, and our other rides. There is one video of the racing component of Tri-Sport, and then another video showing the "regular" riders! Some good stuff.
