Riding helped my sore back.

Pulled a muscle in my lower back, laid up for 3 days staring at my bike. Wanted to ride, but could hardly move. Today decided to give it a try, went down the street, felt OK, so I went ahead and rode 20.6 miles. Back is still a little tender, but no pain. Loving this riding more and more.

I'm rehabbing a back injury and found

backzilla.com

has good therapeutic exercises for helping to condition the back. It recommends bike riding for the large muscle groups it involves. There are several options for levels of exercise to get over back pain and injuries.

bodybuilding.com

also has a great section on strengthening the back. As people we neglect the back and so much depends on the back carry everything else. Be sure to check with a good back DOC. Don't ignore back pain, it'll be a "pain in the rear" if you do.

I like that backzilla site, thanks! Since I suffered major back trauma in a bike wreck last summer (still recovering from T9 being destroyed and having T7-12 fused), any info I can find to build a strong back again is helpful.

Maybe we should make back rehab shirts! I'm rehabbing T6 and C1 and C2. It was a bad December last year.

Maybe! I crashed hard in August, so I'm still early in recovery!
