Volunteering for the USA Triathlon in Tempe Arizona.

I look forward to this every year. I volunteer in the registration tent prior to the event and sometimes at an aid station too. It's so much fun. Some are first timers and are nervous and scared to death, all the way to old time veterans, one guy was on his 7 tri. There is so much excitement in the air you could cut it with a knife. One first time gal's chip didn't work and she started to cry. I was glad to help her solve her dilemma and see her smile again. I had so much fun I will be doing in again in the morning.

My son has been racing Tri's for 6 years and as a way of paying back I volunteer as a bike course guide.

Thanks for volunteering! Which race is it? Is it Tempe International, Ironman Arizona, or something else?

D'oh. I've been away from triathlon for a while. The last I remember, Ironman Arizona was a spring race but it looks they've moved it to the fall and it's Nov 20 this year.
