OT but need some help, folks.

Over in Foo there is a post where the Powers To Be have decided to award ten Titanium memberships to some well deserving members on Christmas day who we the common folks nominate. I feel that Dnvrfox is well deserving of such a reward so went ahead and nominated him. Now I/We need to gather some backup to my nomination so feel free if you wish to back me up. By the way, I did not advise Sir Fox that I was doing this so let's keep it a surprise.

How about some guidance. What is a Titanium membership? How do we back you up? And how do you plan to keep it a surprise since you posted in 50+?

I'll add my support, but somehow I think the surprise is shot.

Titanium is an upgraded membership (users have a yellow jersey next to their name). It allows you to have a larger avatar photo, ability to start threads in the Marketplace forums, and access to the Titanium Club forum.

Oh I thought titanium got you the red star next to your name and was more permanent than the one that I paid for.

The red star is the original lifetime paid membership from back before IB bought Bike Forums. It was discontinued and replaced with the Ti membership.

Denver deserves the nomimation and has my support.

CbadRider, how come my avatar is small and I have the paid membership? I've got avatar envy.

I won a Ti membership sometime back, and I quietly donated it to another very deserving BFN 50+ member.

I thank you for the honor, but please, please find someone else more deserving than I.

I am perfectly happy with my red star. It has special meaning, as I was awarded it when, years ago, Joe was in financial trouble and a bunch of us voluntarily chipped in to help Joe pay the server bill. Joe later gave us all red stars.

So, I like my red star!!

I'll go with Denver too. Maybe it will bring some solace to his grandchildless existance! (lol)

He deserves it ( the nomination, that is!)

Again, please find a more deserving individual. I can think of several.

Cranky Old Dude, Retro Grouch, jppe among many others.

You should be able to import a larger photo. How large is the original?
