Thanks for the guidance and advice

All,
I want to thank everyone, especially tsl, Allegheny Jet, Blues Dog, volosong, Phillipparker, stapfam and others for their advice I requested here in September about a stem. I went to the LBS and took their recommendations on a Ritchey WCS Pro 110 stem and Ritchey Pro anatomical handle bars from an ebay store with super deep discounts and they sold me a nice adapter for threadless stems and a sizing bushing for the adapter. I chose the 17 degree up option in the stem so I'll save the Road forum guys for saying flip it and slam it. It works perfectly for this old man and his back with plates cages, screws and 2 bone grafts. Now I am totally comfortable in the drops or on the flats as required. The 50+ forum rocks.

Bil

Flip it and slam it.

Unfortunately--We do know what works on bodies with a problem--as Most of us have some malady or other.

All you have to do is ride a few thousand miles-climb a few mountains and then you can flip the stem and slam it.
