How'd that happen?

My userID suddenly started showing up with a yellow jersey. While I think that's cool, I haven't paid for a premium membership. Should I be thanking somebody for this?

Congrats. I can only assume that you were awarded one of the premium memberships. Tom was seeking nominations before the holidays. Let me see if I can find the thread....

EDIT: Yep, you're one of the deserving ones. The nomination thread.

Go down to Foo and you will see a message across the top somewhere that lists a whole bunch of people who got titanium memberships for Christmas. Rejoice, you are in the same league as botto.

If you have a mellow johnny, you can have a bigger avatar.

I'm gonna start being a productive member of BF society like this year's esteemed recipients.

Ceiling Cat might return. The chicken hat came from a reference to my facebook avatar in another thread.... that is actually me in the chicken hat.

Thanking yourself maybe. A deserving recipient IMHO. You've been one of the more helpful, level-headed ones here at BF.

Send me a PM and we will work that out.

OTOH, I believe you can click to enlarge, then right click the big picture and save it to your computer.... let me know if that does not work or quality isn't okay for you.

Wow, lifetime membership? Nice! I paid my two year membership but the day it expires, they rip it right off like a band aid and a dry scab from a hairy arm!

One of the best parts has been Billy reminding me of our "high trestle" ride. That might have been my favorite ride in 2011. If any other 50+ riders are up to it, I'm thinking a redo in 2012 might be in order.

Well, imagine my surprise when I also found a yellow jersey beside my name. Not sure what I've done to deserve that, but thank you to whoever awarded it.

Dan and Retro Grouch,
You both offer a sane and non confrontational style with lots of good technical information. Well done, again, to both of you.
