Not yet, but I'm thinking I'd like that.

1. Faster rider on a faster bike means you'll be ahead of me.
2. The change will probably fall out of your pockets too.

This is my urban assault bicycle which I use for my raids into NYC and posing my way around the more local cafes and bars.

It started life as a rusty Koga Miyata which I converted to a fixie using bits I found/scrounged/stole.

Now it's like George Washington's axe; two new heads and three new handles, but otherwise totally original. I even built the wheels myself.

I've got a couple that qualify.
An old Sakai that I reconstructed with a Sturmey Archer 8 speed. This is the bike I carry on the road with me.

And my 3 speed fixie. I'm going to spend my Christmas money on a gold headset and seatpost collar to balance out the look a bit.

Most track bikes are flat black. Here's my 2004 Dolan:

And racing on it at my local 200m indoor velodrome:

And here's my old 2000 carbon fiber Trek that I sometimes use on hilly brevets:

A more detailed view, at one of the checkpoints (at about 1 in the morning) on a 1000-km brevet in 2009, with the bike set up in randonneur configuration with Schmidt front hub and B&M lighting:

I knew Dennis was going to do that! He sure has some beautiful bikes, particularly that VK-II. I'm going to try to come close, though, with my three offerings.

Well mine isn't as fancy as the proceeding machines but I really like it, 2012 Jamis Coda Sport, hooked up to my utility trailer.

OK, I showed you bike 7, but I never posted #6. This is built on an unbranded CF cyclocross frame from China, Alfine 8 IGH, compact double up front.

Interesting. How do you pick out which one to take for a given ride?
