Anyone bought from modernbike.com?

(out of Des Moines, Iowa)

Their prices look pretty good, at least on a few items I've looked at and they have an overall rating of 9.6/10 on reselleratings.com. Just curious if anyone's bought from them and if so, any experiences... ?

Thanks.

Bought through them several times. Good prices and VERY prompt delivery. They are the first ones I check when I'm looking for bicycle stuff.

Modern Bike is my first choice for online purchases. Excellent customer service after the sale. If you watch and wait, they rotate the "buy this item and shipping is free" feature.

Good company... have bought things from them from time to time. Among my top two or three online sellers for bike stuff.

They actually have a store in Des Moines, about two hours from me. Been meaning to get over there, but they aren't open on Sundays.

I ordered about 2:10 pm today, with the default standard shipping. I got notification that as of 3:54 pm , it had been picked up and was in transit. That's less that two hours from order to shipment.

Tried the site and found the best price on the Park Tools workstand I want, ordering shortly. Thanks for the link and lead to them.

I"m not familiar with the outfit, so I just took a cruise. Prices seem OK, but for at least some items (many? I didn't look for too long) those at probikekit and ribble are better. These are UK sites and so the shipping is not quick to the US, but if you're not in a hurry, the prices are right. Remarkably, probikekit features free shipping for orders over some minimal amount ($50, I think?)

That's why I was there - A PCS-9 for $87. The PCS-10 is better, but also $50 more and for what I do the 9 will be more than enough. According to FedEx Tracking, I should have it tomorrow.

Bought something from them once and got it at a decent price quick enough, but now I get a lot more advertising e-mail from them than I'd like.

This is why on most internet purchases and many websites, I register/use a junk email address that I only access via the web, not through my email client.
