Laid Up

Just finished building a Kestrel Talon SL with Record gear and took one short ride before surgery on a torn rotator cuff. Tore it by falling off my motorcycle. Now I'm off two wheels for a couple of months at least but things are looking up. Decided to put together a fixed wheel bike. Bought the frame and fork today. Am attracted by their simplicity and living in an urban environment I think it will suit me well. It will be a much less expensive proposition than the Talon and there's beauty in that too. I can't ride but I can still assemble - with one hand.

Sorry to hear you have to wait to enjoy your new bike. It's a bummer when you lovingly craft something, and then can't use it.
But at least you'll have the next build to keep you occupied. If I ever get laid up, I'd have to build wheels or something to keep from going crazy.
Heal fast and get back on the saddle.
