5000' with those pesky mountains always sneering at me a few miles away.

1500 ft. Just back from visiting my daughter, who lives at about 10,000' on the outskirts of Leadville.

I work at 2250 feet
The River Mountain Trail where I ride most is 1225 feet to 2700 feet

Eugene's only about 550 feet, but much of the population seems to be much "higher" than that. (See recent Sports Illustrated article about pot use among UO football team.)

At 3 feet above sea level, "altitude" isn't the right word for the elevation of my Fort Lauderdale suburb.

I'm close to 228 metres above sea level on a normal day.

On a good .. to great day it is much higer.
