    Dealing with Bronchitus

Hello all, I have not been able to ride for a week now due to a bad case of Bronchitus. I did some research, one site said I could ride with it with little ill effects. Another site said that riding at all is a bad idea.

Since we are in the real world, have any of you had to deal with this, if so, did you give up riding until it was cured? I wonder if using the free weights and the trampoline LIGHTLY would be okay.

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

I have chronic bronchitis that is not triggered by dust or smoke, just certain vapors. The few times it's flared up I avoid very cold or very hot air temps while riding and take it pretty easy. I feel you should avoid riding all together if it irratates your condition, you want to return to normal as soon as possible.

I once made the mistake of doing my regular ride when I had a bad chest cold. That then developed into full scale bronchitis, and I was off the bike for 4 weeks. If I have problems with my lungs now, I stay off the bike and let myself heal first.
