Instead of Riding My Age I Played my Age in Golf Holes

Well I came close. A golf buddy and I go the mountains once a year and play "marathon golf". We've played as many as 63 holes but we only got in 54 this year. The good news was I played with the same ball for all 54 holes. I had used it for a couple rounds prior to this one so it's ready to be retired.

Bad news was I was hit by a golf ball from another group. It was a tee shot so it had some extra velocity. I didn't know that I needed to wear my cycling helmet.

The course seemed a lot longer this year. Seems like all the courses are getting longer. Even with the latest and greatest technology I continue to lose distance. The result of no upper body strength training......I guess it's time to move up a tee box.

I've also tried to ride twice my age near my Bday. That seems to be getting more challenging as well.

I haven't been on the bike for 2+ weeks. Work + playing lots of golf have interfered. Plus just not as motivated. I have enjoyed eating more though!!

Headed down to the PGA at Kiawah next week for a little more golf playing and some golf watching.

Well jppe, the Council of Elders, chaired by the Most Excellent Holy Rider, Billydonn, will have to issue a ruling on this aberration in the 50+ rules. At least tell what kind of PIE one had after .......shudder............. golfing. Glad you got in the play rounds and hope you enjoy the PGA event, as well. Happy Birthday, too.

Bill

Riding my age ...... I never thought of that. That's something I could actually do. I'll never live long enough to shoot my age.

Come right on down and join us. The view is great and the company usually much better than at blue or black.
