The most common six words in obituaries?

    ?

"He is survived by his wife"

Average female lives 7 years longer than males.

Food for thought for your own planning?

That's the great thing about divorce. You both get out of the marriage alive.

I will probably go first since I am 9 years older but I want my 6 words to be:
He died doing what he loved.

    2. Turned over in a kayak and drowned - no previous experience, inadvertently ventured into rapid water, no training in righting, loose life preserver.

    The 3rd was cancer.

I am at the point where I am sort of keeping score. !!!

Sadly, the scoreboard is changing far too rapidly.

    Denver,
I don't know if you ever saw Alan King do his routine on that phrase but it is classic! Here is a link to YouTube of him reprising the bit in the eighties. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PypsMk_0QxY

The bit is far older than that though.

I have picked my desmise. Justifiable shot by a teenage husband when caught in bed with his wife at the age of 102. And that would happen after an enjoyable ride over to her house.

I would rather not survive my wife, children, grandchildren, etc.

Of course, that doesn't mean I'm ready to go just yet.
