It's 47 F and I am heading out

I am out the door - for a ride and a swim and a ride.

First I did 73 pushups in honor of my upcoming 73rd birthday (this has been my goal), and then 5 sets of 50 pushups to finish things off.

So, what's the temp when you are starting out this am?

58 here, no pushups, just a few stretches and hop on the bike. Congrats!

It was 55F when I left the house this morning. I am still riding in shorts but about half the riders in the Saturday morning group are already in full length tights.

How is the achilles tendon going, Dnvr?

We left this morning when the temperature was around 65 deg, and finished with it in the high 80s. Northern Hemisphere.

It is doing a bit better. Tx. I will be seeing an acupuncturist Tuesday.

I am home now, and the temp is almost 80, which means I went through a complete change of outerwear going from 47 to 80F. Started with leg warmers, undergarment (short-sleeved jersey), long-sleeved jersey, light wind breaker (there was wind along with the 47F), arm wamers. Ended with short-sleeved jersey, no leg or arm warmers, everything in my light backpack.

Rode to bkfst, then rode to swimming, swam for about an hour, then rode to meet wife for lunch, then home. About 20 miles and swimming and 2 meals.

67 when I got up and 85 when I went riding at 1530 this afternoon, just got back in from a mediocre ride as far as form and such are concerned but a 10 compared to sitting here watching the replay of the Women's World Road Championships that I saw this morning. Supposed to get cooler on Monday as the front comes through.

Glad the AT is not any worse Denver, hope the acupuncturist helps you feel better.

Bill

50 on the nose when I left, 77 when I got home. Short sleeves, shorts, arm warmers. I was a little chilly for the first 20 minutes or so, but OK after that. The only thing that was cold then was my feet (I guess that is things) but booties would look silly with shorts! I'd rather be cold for a while than have to carry a bunch of clothing when it warms up.

It was cooler here today, 80s early and mid 90s at noon, so I didn't drive into the mountains and did a club ride in the lowlands.
I'm hoping it doesn't get back to triple digits again next week, the job sucks even more when it's hot out.

I am dressed to go for a ride with my new helmet flashing light and hail just started coming down. The sounds against the deck and window sound onerous. I believe I'll delay my ride. Meanwhile, I'll hop on the treadmill.
