    That's it! I'm moving to the mediterranean,... Someday

    After spending most of the last 56 years based in Chicago, I deserve someplace healthy to retire.

    This sounds like the right region and climate for me;

    I'm with you. I've never been to a Greek isle, but I've visited Mallorca and would love to live there.

    Yes but can you get 200 TV channels and go to McDonald's for a "Super-sized" meal?

    Thanks for the link to this article. The study they conducted and their findings seem to confirm the things I have come to believe and accept about my life and especially my diet. This pulls many things I now do together for me and reinforces my determination. I hated the last section where he said that many dietary and social habits are changing for the younger Ikarians, further studies will probably show a decreasing longevity and worse health for them.

    IMO it is the regular napping that's the key. And freedom from reality TV of course.

    Ah, the simple life. I just hope I survive to retirement so that I can start living.

    I've laid off the vino rosso for the past few months for weight control/maintenance. Shuck that! I'm popping a cork tonight.

    Thanks for posting.

    I'm with you! Although getting out of Chicago between November and May is probably a good idea

    You can buy one of the islands from Greek government in a very short time . Greece is going to drag the whole European economy down the toilet .

    Why would you want to do this if you were living in paradise?

    From our touring in Europe recently, we are particularly enamoured of the Atlantic coastline in France. So I can understand the desire to move to nirvana (yours or ours).

    Lots of wine, coffee, naps, and sex... I fail to see a problem.

    If there is a lesson here it is that we should strive to lead similar lifestyles here and think I have the coffee, naps, wine, and sex thing covered and also take a spoonful of local honey every morning.

    Now I have to go and kill some clocks which are rather un-natural as they force us to adopt artificial biorhythms and add stress.
