Another reason to engage the abs while riding

So your jersey doesn't split at the zipper. (Note to self, lay off the Halloween candy at work)

I just by shirts that either have no zipper or only a half zipper. There! Problem solved.

I think that the only time I really engage my abs is when I use too high of a gear while climbing. Any other suggestions?

My own personal feeling is that the clothing manufacturers that are at fault. Almost every single one has obsolescence built into their jerseys- they always shrink around the midriff after a few years.
