MI Aug. 28 2008 to 1/2C Nov 3 2012 + 5 Strava PR's

The docs told me that the riding I had been doing, and loosing 70 lb in the last two years probably saved my life after my second heart attack back in August. A lot of people are not so lucky, and are permanently disabled.

Yesterday I did the 1/2 Century of a ride that I had originality planned on being my first Full Century.

This is my Garmin record. http://app.strava.com/activities/26896257

Now, if I can loose another twenty by the first of the year, I want to do this as my first Full Century ride in April. http://girodisandiego.com/gran-fondo-route.html

Congratulations!

I'm sure, after 2 MI's that your physician's are all over you -- but are you doing anything else to prevent a third (making sure you stick to the meds, and so on?)

... But that is a remarkable achievment and one to be happy about and very proud of...

And, the good news is, riding in S. CA means you don't have to put the bike away until spring comes back...
