Rapid Red Rider

No wind today. Did my 20 mi at a quick (for me) 16 mph. Half sunny and dry, half rainy and wet, the Conti GT 4000's are outstanding. I went with 25 width to slow the skittish steering on the Felt a bit. The improved stability is well worth any speed penalty.
Best thing - glucose was 100 after the ride.

Sounds like sugar runs high for you. What was it BEFORE the ride?

Fasting glucose in the AM averages about 123. I've had some post ride readings around 80 - that's a good ride!
BTW it's not too early to think about Tour de Cure rides. The Chesapeake Bay TdC is May 18, 2013. Beautiful scenery, wide, clean shoulders and flat, it's great for novice and expert alike. You can join Team Red at http://main.diabetes.org/site/TR/Tou...eam&fr_id=8614

I'm a Team Red Rider as well. 50 years of T1 and an amputation from long term complications. Signed up with a team for Tour de Cure in UT in June....

25mm racing tires often have slightly less rolling resistance than the same model in 23mm. 23s may be slightly more aero, depending on the rim. But at this point I don't think there is any downside to running 25s.
