Selle Anatomica Arrived
Based on several suggestions here, I picked up a Selle Anatomica Titanico X. I picked the mahagony leather, but after I put it on the bike I thought maybe the graphite would have looked better on my Litespeed titanium frame. No matter. It's still a pretty saddle.
I installed it using the same measurements for height, fore/aft, etc. as the Brooks B17 I was riding. With holiday activities, I won't be able to ride until Saturday, but just sitting on the thing briefly it feels pretty good.
I had installed a slightly shorter, but higher angled stem and that really seemed to dramatically improve the comfort of the Brooks I've been riding--much less perineal pressure. Looking forward to riding the new saddle and I'll post my results.

Strat,
Please post pics of the saddle on the bike when you get to it. I'd be interested in seeing the saddle in place. Mahogany should be very nice looking.

Consider handlebar tape that matches the mahogany color of the saddle. That should alleviate some of your concerns about how it looks on your bike.

I've decided to hang onto the Brooks and just switch the two saddles out, if the spirit moves me. I am selling my E3 on eBay.
To be honest, if I had given the new stem enough time, I might not have bought the Selle Anaatomica, but 100 bucks was too good an offer to pass up.

When I saw it this AM, I thought it looked pretty cool, but I will probably consider your suggestion.

I bought the Titanico a couple of weeks ago. I had been considering one for some time and the sale made it an offer I couldn't refuse! I got the red one to accent my black Roubaix. Still tweaking and adjusting the seat but I think I'm going to love it. Changed the bottle cage to red and it looks great with the seat. Bought some red bar tape as well but may wait until the current tape needs replacing. Looking forward to many miles on the Titanico but not until the winter is over.

I've been accused of having my brains in my butt. But sometimes the butt does the best thinking -- especially when it comes to saddles.

I bought a Mahogany Titanico for my Salsa Fargo a month ago. I wanted to try and see if I would want another whilst the sale was still on. I rode it for a month and decided to get a second one for my new 2013 CAADX. I have tried a Brooks on 3 different occasions and just couldn't get past the 60 mile point no matter the adjustment. I haven't been able to get out that long on the Titanico, but i am hopeful...

I rode on the thing for the first time today. Did about 30 miles in heavy wind and it feels like I rode 50. I can't say the saddle felt emphatically different from the Brooks, but I noticed a shift in the saddle tilt. The Ritchie seat post I'm using has always had to be screwed down tight, so I eyeballed it when I got home and got it tightened down. Still, considering that I rode into a hard wind coming off the mountain, my can feels OK and my perineum isn't bothering me. Good signs, both. For the first hour, I felt it was the most comfortable saddle I've ever ridden on, but I'll eval it more early this week.

That is a very nice looking saddle, the color is very deep. It looks so much like a Brooks Team Pro it is hard to tell from just the pics. Nice choice.

Put about 75 miles on the Selle Anatomica, so I did 35 on the Brooks yesterday to compare. I think they're both comparable, but it's interesting that the Selle Anatomica is comfortable right away.
Since it was in the 20s and a little windy yesterday, I was tired later after the ride. Winter riding, heavy tires, etc. can be a bit wearing.

There is always buying Shoe Dye in Black, to darken the color..
I noted they have no discounts on black, they sell better.
