N+1 gets a name

I posted a while back that I had sold my mountain bike (2008 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR 26 Comp) and was about to get a new 29er. I have posted a video or two of me riding the new bike, but now that I've ridden it enough to get a feel for it, here is the formal introduction.

The bike is a 2013 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR 29 Comp. Red and Black. Large. Weighs about 30 lbs with Crank Bros. Candy pedals. It is big and fast, wears red and black and runs right over stuff, so the right name seemed obvious. Meet Herschel.

Just like my pets, some of my bikes are female and some are male. It didn't take me long to see that this one is definitely a boy dog.

Nice videos BD. But what do they put in that Georgia water that creates such feverish loyalty?

Perfect name for a Gawja bike and it is the right colours too. Mr. Walker will be proud of the naming, I feel sure. How 'Bout Them Dawgs!!!!!
