Cycle for Survival
This morning I participated in the Cycle for Survival that raises money and awareness for rare cancers.
My friend Sue has brain cancer and has beaten the odds. The type she has has a life expectancy of 7 months and it's been 2 years since diagnosed. She's in remission and is cancer free for the past 18 months.
Her sister Maria put together a team of 4 people that will each take a 45 minute session on a spin bike. The room has over 100 spin bikes and there's 4 sessions. Our team raised over $10,000 which will go to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. There was tremendous energy in the air along the smell of over 100 sweating people. It was a great experience and I look forward to doing it next year.
The room
Taking my turn.
Sue, her husband Andy and me.
I can tell you I much prefer the open road than a stationary bike.

Nice way to spend a day. I agree about the stationary bike but even a trainer is better than a spin bike.
