Yay Spring! I'm looking forward to the Sun rising earlier in the morning, so I can resume my pre-breakfast 1 to 2 hour rides! Today was nice, but bad, with sunny weather and 54°f, but with brutal headwinds for all of the outbound leg. I sure enjoyed the ride back with that wonderful tailwind though! It was such times that make me want to break down and get a cyclecomp so I know how much less slow I am now!

I think we are sending a little more snow your way via a clipper system fed by Great Lakes moisture. I'm envious. I'm probably 3wks away from a first ride.

We thought Spring was going to be here for the Palm Springs Century last Saturday (usually is . . . ) but we were surprised. Started out with a low temp of 30 Deg. F.

Yikes. And strong side wind too; until we turned into it, i.e. a Brutal Headwind. Oh, and cold too, did I mention that.

The sun was out though and it did warm up as the day went on.

spring was here today... highs hit 70... unfortunately its just temporary... rain and cooler temps forecast next week. OTOH, at least the days are getting longer.

It wasn't quite that warm here in Fort Worth, but it was close.

Boys? Boys?

What about those of us who are not boys? Is our spring not just around the corner?

Yup--------------the bent and the trike have recieved they total winter checks and upgrades. They are all ready to roll. Unlike some I hate to ride when it is cold. With a few exceptions I like to have the temp above 65. I hate riding if I cant ride in shorts.

Commmmmmmmmon spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's gonna spring for everyone - and I predict an early spring in the Chicago area, because we still don't have any snow cover. Any snow we get now, will be short lived, with no base underneath it.

I always look forward to both sexes (or any others) on the local bike paths....... a sure sign of nice weather to come.

We got badly spoiled last year - it was in the 30's to 40's all winter, not one significant snowfall (I think I scraped a thin layer of snow off the walks once last winter). This year it's back to "normal" - highs from 20 to low 30's for as far out as the weather service and Weather Underground are willing to speculate. I'm hoping to get a couple of warm days here and there as I have four bikes I want to test ride before springing for my first road bike, but it looks like it's gonna be awhile!

Yesterday it was 50 outside, and I rode my bike. Today was low to mid 30s outside... and I rode my bike. I was pretty much just as comfortable today as yesterday.

I'm just glad I didn't have to look out for falling rocks, like they did in the Urals. They're now saying that meteorite was 1/4 the size of the one that we knew about, and weighed 7000 tons instead of the 10 tons originally estimated...
