Thanks to Curtis for doing this order once again, we all owe him a debt of gratitude. NOw for the waiting to start until they get our order back to Curtis.

The ordering is closed. I will tabulate and place the order tonight.
Your jersey will arrive about the time you forgot you ordered it.

Curtis, make sure you check the box that your order comes in from Champion Systems, they are having a contest to send someone to the Amgen TOC, as far away as your live the airfare would be a great savings!Watch for a mini golden jersey in the box.

That would be funny. I recently rode my bike from my garage to the top of Diablo, the local stage finish for the tour.
The cyclists in the are a very excited about our local finish. Last year the race went over the lower part of the mountain I've never seen so many cyclists in my life. It was a HUGE success. As a bonus, a very crappy section of road people had ben arguing over and complaining about for years was repaved for the tour.

I've made a tough decision. I'm going to skip the Davis Double this year just so I can see the Diablo stage.

And just because I'll use any excuse to post photos, here's one from last years Diablo stage.

Great timing! I got email of you message tonight when I also got a Champ-sys messag ethat they were on a slow boat from China now.

You should be all jersey-ed up in a couple of weeks at the most.

Next week is finals week, a crazy time for me, If they come I will try to set aside time to pack and ship, but the Saturday after that at the latest...if they are here by then.

Thanks much Curtis, for the heads up and for all the efforts you have to do in order for us to have these kits. It is appreciated by all of us, I'm sure.

Thanks, Curtis - I'm heading out for a long (for me) ride this weekend, and have been realizing that the padding in my two bib shorts isn't as good as the PI shorts that I "outgrew" by losing 40 lbs in the last year. I was wondering if the 50+ kit might be hitting my door before this weekend, but it looks like I'll need to make a stop at the LBS on my way out of town tomorrow...

Yesterday, May 17, my new wheels arrived. But I'm trying to be responsible, so I spent the evening stuffing envelopes with 50+ clothing instead of mounting them on my bike. Yep, that's right, I alo got another package that I wasn't expecting yet.

Today, when I head out for the Amgen Tour of California stage race that ends on MY local mountain I will go by the post office and mail those envelopes. All that means that you should get stuff next week!

Slightly funny note: My sweet wife did a lot of work making sure I had the right item with the right person. It's more work than you think. When we finished we were off by one item; we had an extra. I was worried. Then she asked me. "This is a small womens, did you get it for me?" and I remembered that I had indeed ordered a jersey for her but forgotten all about it.

I wonder how many 50+ riders will be surprised when their package arrives.

Don't forget to post a photo!

Now that is a great story..........thanks again for taking the initiative to get these done. Any guess as to how many 50+ jerseys many are spread across the universe now??

I wish I'd have kept track, but it's that "not a business man. " in action again.
I bet there are more than 300, likely a lot more. I know they are in the US, New Zealand, England and Canada.

Curtis,
You may not "Be a Business Man" but the time and effort you put in to this each time certainly makes you quite a good person, that wins every time for me.

Count me among the surprised! I hadn't been reading all the messages on here lately and so was very pleasantly surprised to open an envelope, which I thought was from something else I had ordered, and there is my very on 50+ jersey. My first jersey for bike riding. I can't thank you enough for going to all of this trouble. Picture may be posted later, when I look more presentable.

Received the envelopes this afternoon, got them in on return from my ride and everything was correct, looks great, too. Thank you Curtis.

Curtis

Thanks for all of your work and for being such a positive force in the 50+ forum. My wife and I regularly wear our 50+ jerseys and love them.

Yes, every item went in its own envelope, except one to Canada which had two in it.

Curtis, thank you so much! I am traveling today, but now I have a double bonus of getting home to my Bride and my new vest and jersey! I alternate my Rogue Brewing and 50+ jerseys - my favorites!

I understand the stress of packaging and getting it right. I used to sell fur felt hats to reenactors, and would do a large order once a year or so via mail. So stressful, since everyone had a pretty penny tied up in the package. Thank you for doing this, and if I make it to the Bay Area this summer (in-laws live in Livermore) I might have to offer to buy you a beer! (hoping to pack my bike along, too, and climb Diablo for the first time)

Just don't tell anyone if you let the beer company sponsor that ride guys not that I am trying to start anything. I'll buy the second round of beers, too.

My new shorts arrived yesterday and they feel all sleek and sexy. I don't feel the slightest bit dorky in them.

And guys: another way to show appreciation, besides the promise of a beer at some future time, is to include a "gratuity" in your payment for the goods. Keep it in mind the next time you order.
