Coffee is good.

Coffee with a little JD is better.

Black. No sugar. Coffee with milk or creamer and sugar is not coffee, it's a liquid candy bar. Almost as bad as adding Coke to whiskey.

Cappuccino is OK with a slice of pie, but espresso is the only decent black coffee.

The touring forum thread only has 5 replies and is dead. Yes they tried to help the OP and did note that their size 13 and 14 feet did not overlap their LHT. Thing is, I suspect they have a much larger size frame which makes a big difference. Yes they did address best they could ONE aspect of the OP.

The 50+ thread gave a much greater wealth of information for the OP with many alternate considerations.

It would have been sad if the mods moved the 50+ thread to touring and the OP missed out on the 26 replies from here. Is that not sufficient to complain about the recent moving of 50+ threads to other forums?

Did you also note that the thread the OP updated to, was the 50+ thread?
I did originally think you were downing the Touring thread, that they'd offered no assistance. I'm not really interested in debating a critical evaluation of both threads. I think both offerred assistance to the OP. Had I been him, I'd have stuck with the 50+ thread, too, to continue my part of the dialogue.

I'm never happy about moving threads if the issue is not cut and dried, and in 50+ it rarely if ever is. But I've been in these battles a few times over my years here, and the Modular Motivation to Adjust will not go away, and neither will human nature. I'm interested in fighting to get a better perch for my butt, not in maintaining my vision of how 50+ should be. It's only MY vision, after all, and I don't own 50+ or BF. The Head Mod at least is employed by the owner of 50+. You can fight City Hall, but sometimes it ain't worth it.

I just skimmed over the previous posts. I have two things to say:
(1) Thank goodness that many 50+ members still have a healthy sense of humor!
(2) This thread is a failure, entirely too organized, too structured. Sig Heil!

I'm not concerned about coffee or beer. This scares me.

Won't say I never drink coke or other soft drinks, but I go easy on them for a very simple reason. Over the years, I've had occasion to haul extracts and other ingredients that go into these drinks, and some of them are placardable hazmat!!!
Really? And we drink this stuff?

Actually, I haven't had hard liquor in probably 35 years. I just don't care for it. Someone gave me a taste of some scotch once that was supposed to be very good. I thought it tasted like liquid dust.

And Crown Royal tastes like something somebody washed dirty socks in! The only hard liquor I've ever been able to drink is Drambhoui, and that only rarely.

Do anything stupid on your bike recently?I came back from an uneventful 25 mi ride.Rode up my neighbor's driveway apron down the sidewalk to my house.Going a little too fast I turned onto my front lawn to dismount. My front tire got stuck in the edging area between my lawn and sidewalk.Over he goes clipped in.

In bulk form, or eaten or drunk in excess, just about everything that you can eat or drink is hazardous to your health.
An NG pill can be a lifesaver; too much of the raw material - KaBoom!
