Okay, tomorrow all our weather woes will magically end?

Well, 20 Mar 2013 is here tomorrow, and the first day of spring will be in effect. Shouldn't that mean the weather will suddenly become warm, partly cloudy skies and cool evenings with light winds and such? Or are the bicycle gods just messing with us again?

Bill

Wishful thinking, I'm afraid, Bill. Forecast here for tommorrow is 33 degrees F, and snow flurries. In two weeks or so it's supposed to hit 50 F.

Or, are YOU messing with us?

That sounds like what you Floridians call the "the dead of winter"...

Weather talk

You gotta be bored Bill.
10 day forecast here is an average of 70f with 10mph winds.

I'm bored too. Emailing Singapore about sending a bicycle C.O.D. (Singapore=bicycle scam city)

Happy Spring anywho!

No messing, just had to wonder when the weather will be spring or summer like. It was cloudy all morning and now it is typical for a front's passage here, blue skies and mild temps. I know the people like George and others up in the NE are getting the crap duty now.

And Yes, I am Bored, Bid Days Do This To Me Every Time

Three jobs for the local school district this afternoon bid 1400 through 1530 so Monica and I will be writing in the figures and attending the openings then doing the next one all within the time limits. SubKs wait until the last minute every time to call or fax their prices.

And I can't even spell in my title either
. Thankfully a staff member saw my report request to fix my dyslexic finger work.

High of 42 tomorrow, but when a 40 mile group ride starts it will be more like 30. I'm inclined to skip it, but you never know.

Saw the sun this afternoon-Through the rain that was coming down at the same time. Must be the 20 mph winds keeping the clouds above us.

But you are right, Tomorrow it all changes. White cloud all day- no Rain and low wind. Winter comes back just in time for the weekend though.

Looking at the long-range forecast for the Cleveland area, we're due to be 20-10F degrees below normal for the next two weeks. I say it backwards because normal now is supposed to be 50, and we're having high temps of 30. Our normal low now is supposed to be 30, and our forecast lows are 20...

By the 6th of April, we are due to be closer to the 'normals' of 56F highs, and 36F lows, but not a heck of a lot - forecasts are saying upper 40s for highs and low 30s for lows...

and, of course, cloudy most days. Cleveland. Yeech!

Chance of freezing rain here in northwest AR on Friday. Doesn't matter much anyway. I had my other eye fixed this morning and will be down for recuperation for a day or two or three.

Perhaps the Florida and SoCal boys should be banned from the forum during the months characterized by uncivilized weather (a/k/a Winter)

Easy for you to say Bill, sitting there in the Sunshine state. Freezing rain right now, and another snow storm due on Thursday. Hope that's the end of it but history says otherwise for New England.

No woes today so far, it was sunny, 83 with a north wind, when I rode. Life can be nice some weeks. I'll take what I get. When it is hurricane season and we are sweating them out you can stick your tongues out at me. This place is a mess after a nearby landfall, a direct hit is grim.

We had what can only be described as typical weather here today: Sunny sunrise, cloudy morning, liquid sunshine for the afternoon/evening with temperatures in the comfortable 40's F. It won't change much until late June, except the temperature will keep creeping up every week until it gets to warm, never hot.

Days with liquid sunshine like today are my favorite days to ride, which of course I did. For some reason, the worst drivers tend to not come out and play when it is raining. My favorite rides are the ones where no one appears to be trying to kill me and the fewer motorists on the road the fewer opportunities there are for me to meet up with the few who really shouldn't be driving.

Got out for the LBS ride this evening. It was 46 for the ride which with evening sun is pretty nice, but the wind was blowing us all over the road at times. The forecast is for a winter mix then a cold rain over the weekend. We were in the low 70s this past weekend so March is being it's normal fickle self.

This is us:

I love dry weather, but we need some rain to wash this stuff away... My carport floor is literally slippery from all the pine pollen. I guess that's what happens when one lives in a place named "Pineville"...

Now I know how I'll boost the retirement funds. Of course, I'd have to get dentures first.

S'posed to hit 48F this Saturday. Trying to get into Spring mode by pruning a couple of viburnums and a hedge maple in recent days. And planning to construct a raised bed garden in the back yard.
