Bought a new set of classic, crochet back gloves from Aerotech a few weeks ago and finally had the chance to use them. Gotta say they are exactly right and the gel in the palm is perfecto. Very impressed.

Gotta question on their shorts. I have been using Sugoi shorts and bibs, their top line model, for 15 years and am very pleased with the durability and even more pleased with the comfort. Those of you who use Aerotech shorts and bibs and have experience with other high end brands, find them to be as durable and comfortable as the mainstream ubber dollar brands?

I bought seven different models of their shorts last spring to try out and find one I like best.

They were all acceptable, except for one low-end model that I can wear only under my tights since Mr Happy can peek out over the top of the pad. I have strong preferences for the pad, and one stood out above the rest. I bought six more pair of that $40 model.

They all compare favorably to PI in the quality department, (except that low-end one) but I found the straps on the one pair of bibs I bought were a smidge short.

Haven't used their bibs, but use have shorts and tights. They have great customer support and really stand behind their products/ I had a zipper break on some tights and they had a new pair to my house in a couple of days.

Trouble is, I didn't discover this on my own.

You know how sometimes you're ambushed on arrival at work? One day, wearing test shorts #2, the boss (a female 67 year-old career librarian, a stereotypical little old lady) ambushed me before I even had a chance to hang up my bike, let alone change clothes. As we talked, I saw her eyes kept dropping to my crotch.



Whoopsie! I almost didn't need new commuting shorts after that! Might have needed new job hunting shorts though.

I have several pairs of their bibs. Great fit and value for the dollar. I wear them on all of my longer rides.

Good compression in the legs, too.

Where can I find the Aerotech line of kit? This is around the fourth thread here at BF I have seen in several sub-forums so there must be something to them. Do you have them in the shop? Sorry for the earlier hijack.

The one I really, really like is their Pro Bike Short, closely followed by the Top Shelf Bike Short which is very similar to a PI Elite.

tsl, based on that recommendation I am going to give their top shelf shorts a try!

As to where to find them, I just clicked on their add in the side bar of the forum here and was surprised at the selection, and they had the gloves I was looking for.

I've ordered a pair of their century shorts to try out. I'll let you know if it results in century rides being less painful, or all rides being as painful as a century.

I had the opportunity to visit their store last week. The CS was GREAT! Bought my first pair of bibs and another HI-VIZ jersey. Wish I saw the gloves!

I have a pair of their outlaw MTB shorts that I really like. Very comfortable and practical, too. I have one of their jerseys that I like and they've outfitted my kid, head to toe, when we visited the brick-and-mortar store.

Put in 60 miles on the century shorts, and found them lacking in the comfort I was hoping for. I'll probably keep them around for shorter rides though.
