Wow, absolutely awesome bikes on this thread!

Well, here's my new bike.. Haven't owned or been on one in 35 years... Modest (entry level Bianchi) compared to the others on this thread, but so much fun! Now, my next bike will be.... lol, maybe I should save some money and get my extremely rusty riding skills a bit more polished first..;)

Yes, I took a old used kid hauler trailer and rebuilt it, we dont own a car so I need a way to get a bicycle to the LBS for maint., etc. I designed it so the "50 gallon tub, fit's on steel spacers and fender washers "above" the RAIL, that hold the bicycle, I use large WING NUTS so it comes of quickly.

Nothing vintage here (yet, at least) - 61cm 2012 Specialized Tricross Sport

(slightly older pic)

I've since replaced (not to mention, leveled) the saddle, gone to a longer stem and replaced the pedals with SPDs. If it were steel instead of aluminum I'd seriously consider painting it a more attractive color, but I know nothing about painting aluminum. I bought a cyclocross bike thinking I'd have a little more flexibility as a single-bike owner in terms of road/off-road. That's still true, but so far I've not really gotten off-road with it. I'm pleased with it, but if I knew then what I know now I might have leaned more in a roadie direction. However, it's still a good bike. I just need to ride it more. :innocent:

One wag in a bygone era suggested that the only bike that needed a name on the top tube was one made of titanium so that the master riders could identify their own from the pile in case of a massive crash.

I have pared it down to only one bike and this is it. Titanium hard tail built up pretty nicely. It can take fenders and racks for loaded touring.

I go 15 to 30 miles 5 times a week, year long, on these bikes, i am really getting a work out. Whats best though, is it feels like play and makes me feel like a kid.

This one sported a "fixie" look earlier in this thread. I guess I've matured further and am ready for genteel touring of the English countryside now. Either that, or a suitable ride for Indiana Jones!http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=337024

This years ride has been my old Peugeot PX10. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=337079Why? I like it. Last year it was the Colnago and the Peugeot PY10. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=337078http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=337080 I think I'll have to find something else for next year. Might put the Fuji Touring IV up there.
