I'm short. . . . .

Also I only recently got around to replacing the chain (snapped it the first time I took it out). I also have to set up the brakes after I put on the bullhorns.

That and I've been using the Raleigh as my main 'cardio toy'.

I'll set it up soon enough.

I am a stubby-legged 5'5", so the saddles are going to be a bit low.

Ironically I delayed getting on the Raleigh as I thought the saddle was too high. I went and got a seatpost where I could 'slam' the saddle almost to the frame, took the bike out, reinstalled the original seatpost and raised the saddle (and it looks like it's going up again). I took the pics of the Raleigh and the Trek before I had done any setup on them (I'm still setting up the Trek).

In fact, there are lots of great bikes in this thread.

If I were you I would make "some day" into "today." About the best "thing" I have ever bought in life, excellent craftsmanship, thorough attention to detail, and great people to work with who follow through.

Here is my daily commute ride. '82 Peugeot PSV, mostly Mavic components, fendered and lit for the PacNW winters.

Here is my recent purchase. '79 (?) Raleigh Team Professional, all Super Record with tubulars. Doesn't get ridden in the rain, which means it is used 0.1 months of the year.

Here is my "speedy" ride, a '92 Cannondale R1000, all Mavic with tubulars. Light fenders here too, since it rains 11.9 months of the rain here.

a 2008 Trek FX 7.2 [ carrying home a Merlot in the cage ]

.
after 50+ years i decided on another road bike
found a mint Peugeot P10PG 'Loire' - just a relube, cables and saddle and ready for the road

.
first ride since about 1959 - evening sunlight in Scotland

.

I'm 63 and also considered a "Clydesdale." I'm into vintage bikes as well as new ones. I have 16 vintage bikes ranging from 1898 to 1972, though most are too small for me to ride. I'm 6'2" and about 280 (but dropping). My daily riders are a 2013 Cannondale Quick:

And a 2014 Trek Domane:

I also have a 1935 Excelsior Tall Frame that fits me pretty well. Here it is next to my Cannondale XL:

Is that a patch cord on your Dinotte? If so, did you make it or buy it?
