50+ Fashion Show and Review
In honor of the most recent delivery of new 50+ apparel, here's a new thread to display/discuss your new threads. I will begin with my new 50+ wind vest. If you did not order one... well it's a shame. It's about the most versatile thing you can have besides a multi-tool.
My size XXL fits a little more snugly than some of my other vests but it should work just fine in most situations provided it isn't used over bulky clothing.
The 50+ logos on the shoulders are a very nice touch and the collar zips up nice and high to keep out the wind.
Front is windproof nylon stuff but backside is a mesh to vent the heat produced by my massive wattage.
Unlike some other vests, the zipper on the back is not a pocket, it's a pass through to allow access to to jersey pockets. I think I will like that because six pockets tends to lead to chaos when trying to reach back and find stuff. Three pockets ought to be enough.
I have always liked the placement of the "dulcius ex asperis" slogan on the collar but cannot find a "HTFU" imprint anywhere on the vest. Oh, well....
Zipper on the front does not open from the bottom.
It is gray and blustery here today so a test ride is in order.... more later. Feel free to post pics and reviews of your newly arrived 50+ clothing here.

Yeah, I figured out the Htfu thing. I have one of the NorCal jerseys and got confused. As to the zipper: it works fine. But I have some jackets and vests that have a zipper that will open from the bottom for ventilation once you have them zipped up. Voler and Garneau are that way. It's not intended as a criticism... I really like the ChampSys stuff. Agree that you don't want the vest floppy... Mine should be just fine.

Reviewing the New 50+ Summer Jersey
Wore my new summerweight 50+ jersey for the first time today. The fabric is thinner and seems a bit stretchier and the normal jersey. It's called "CS Tech Mesh".
The texture feels a little bit like, well, lingerie.... so a ride can now be an even more sensual experience. If you are prone to distractions in this area a base layer might be a good idea.
From a distance the jersey looks pretty much the same as the normal 50+ model and the prints and logos look just as good.
Here are a few shots on a live model:
In this final shot I'm trying to show off my Sock Guy Crash Test Dummy socks... not sure the orange works with the jersey, but WTH, why be a slave to fashion?
I rode semi-briskly today in fairly warm conditions and the heat exchange does seem to be better than the normal jersey fabric, even with bibs and a thin baselayer. I'm glad I've got one of these since I am not a heat lover. Thanks to Brother Curtis for pointing out this option.

Too bad my kit didn't arrive in time for my 50k ride yesterday, but it was waiting for me in the mail box last night. It's a rainy day today, and I don't have time for a proper ride anyway, so the test ride will have to wait, but meantime, I've tried it on and it feels fantastic.
I have no idea why I waited until now to try bibs, they feel great.
I'll model it for you now.
