    Muddy Grouch

Mrs. Grouch that is. We took the Kettweisel train out on an organized ride shortly after it stopped raining. Our route took us through a couple of puddles. The front wheel threw up a little muddy water but the trike's boom blocked it so I stayed clean and dry. The front trike's rear wheels also threw up some muddy water. Mrs. Grouch wasn't so lucky. She got covered with mud. We have a photo but, unfortunately, I don't know how to post it. You'd love it.

I didn't leave the fenders so short on purpose, I promise.

Since then, I've found a source for some extra long mud flaps.

Use a hosting site such as Photobucket and paste link or simply, in the reply box, click the picture icon, between the globe with the X and the film strip, and choose the tab in the upload dialog box "From Computer," click Select files and choose the picture file where you stored it.

I'm glad Mrs Grouch isn't grouchy about it. I'd love to see the picture.

If you hadn't found the extra-long fenders I have a feeling you would have become the stoker on any ride where there was a potential of this occuring again, being the gallant gentleman that you are.

Mrs. Grouch is still smiling in the picture, but I think that I found a $5.00 solution. Planet Bike has some long mud flaps for some of their fenders. Replacements are available for $5.00 with free shipping. Sounded like a no-brainer to me.
