Eastern Shore is a great place to ride. i live on the peninsula that goes to Oxford and the headwind blows in both directions... no hills, tho. Re. Floyd - he did "come clean" - just after he was caught. Just like a politician: i'm soooo sorry (for getting caught).

So you guys know that doping wasn't even against the rules until the 1960s, right? And you also know that doping was pretty much an open secret before, during, and even after, yes? So do you think less of Anquetil for having doped during his five tour wins? Do you consider Bottechia a cheater? Should Coppi's name be stricken from the records?

Maybe the sport would be better if we stopped obsessing about doping and just went back to enjoying the performances. Or maybe we should all hate Willie for being a doper and demand that his records be erased...

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

All I can say is this: Too much doping of the wrong PED can make Lance's Willie shrink.

Willie is great! This illustrates how guys our age have to get testy and can't just enjoy a bit of humor.

Can you imagine a bike ride with Willies tour bus doing support?

In Willie's era, you couldn't sing or write songs without PED's.

Sounds good to me, I always thought he was a terrible singer, particularly when he butchered other artists songs.

The Willie Nelson songs that I like best were usually written for other artists early on. He wasn't even known as a performer back then. I do like some of his songs that he wrote for himself though.

His cover of City of New Orleans I like better than Arlo's.

I actually thought that was one of his biggest botch jobs.
I really love that song and IMHO no one sings it better than Arlo, except of course when my daughter sings it for me.

Well I always liked Arlo and his dad and actually liked both versions as soon as I heard them. I just liked Nelson's a little better. It is a great song.

And Steve Goodman wrote that song. Arlo's cover made Steve a lot money.
