5 minutes of video from today's ride at Cherry Creek State Park, Colorado

Some more shots of our crowded, dangerous, people-filled, dog crazy MUPS.

Three guys 69-74 yo do a 30 mile ride.

Well, I am learning.

1. My SD disk got filled, and my extras were sitting on my desk at home. Therefore, the videos end abruptly before the finish of the ride

2. I failed to actually get a shot of the lake.

3. The camera points forward, and one guy was behind and I never got him in the picture.

4. I used some really dorky open source music.

5. I am having a blast doing these videos!!

I have located an identical camera for $20 on our local CL which I am going to purchase. Maybe I can rig it on my helmet or pointing backwards!!

Excellent video! Thanks for sharing. Makes me want to get one of those cameras that I've been resisting for the last couple of years!

BTW, it was mid 40's when we started and 60's when we finished, requiring layers to take off.

Looks like a great place to ride. When the music started, I thought you were about to crash a wedding.

It is an old one I got as a present years ago - atc2k Oregon SCientific. It only has a 2gb SD, which allows for an hour of filming at highest quality (640X480, 30FPS). I am buying an identical one off of CL for $20.00. It has a very neat bicycle bar mount, and helmet strap, etc.

Nothing like the GoPro, I guess, but it does what I want it to do. The sound is not good because of the waterproof membrane covering the mike. I have read that removal of the membrane makes the sound much better, but it is no longer waterproof to 3 meters. It takes a special tool or some good figuring to remove the cover to the membrane. I am working on it. A 3 sided screwdriver. It runs on 2 aa batteries.
