Saw snow yesterday, got the trainer out....

I saw snow on the ground yesterday, have not been riding in about 2 weeks, dug the trainer out of the garage, I plan on doing a trainer run tomorrow.....

How many of you have dug out the trainer now?

We had snow here yesterday, too. A neighboring community got 6" of the heavy heart-attack stuff. Today, too.

Don't have a trainer.....went riding. Almost time for the studded tires, though. I gotta figure Thanksgiving for that. Maybe sooner if I wind up on m butt.

Too early for snow here, but tomorrow's Great Pumpkin Ride is likely to start at around 32°F/0°C.

No snow yet here either, but it'll be 32 F at the start of our Fall Colors Ride tomorrow.

In any case, what trainer???

How about thick socks, chemical toe warmers, long underwear, gloves, fleece jackets?

Don't own a trainer. Snow is what studded tires are for.

I live in SoCal, I put up with earthquakes, floods, mudslides, fires, Santa Ana winds, Governor Moonbean, high taxes, etc., etc., etc., just so I won't have to deal with snow.

You keep the fluffy white stuff....

Got out the rollers last week. Very enjoyable and beats riding in a cold rain. Has snow yesterday and the day before, but nothing stuck. Rode gravel roads this morning.

I actually like the trainer, if you have a TV and DVD player handy, you can get a couple of videos, I just slap on a set of head phones with an MP3 player, and ride away....

Don't have a trainer, but I did transfer both of my road bikes to my basement workshop where they'll be getting a winter makeover. My all-purpose hybrid is still available if it warms up enough some day to go for a ride. I'm just not that keen on cold-weather riding. I have plenty of warm clothing since I run all winter and snowshoe or X-C ski when we get the snow (not much luck lately!), but bundling up for a ride on a bike just doesn't hold much appeal.

No measurable snow yet. Had some but it melted. We are in the running for the latest snow date. The record now is Nov 6th. Sure hope we get a few feet soon. That is what insulates utility lines.

But, the river has pan ice in it and most of the waterfowl have left. River will freeze regardless of snowfall.

But, I'm a wuss so I'm on the spin bike for now. BUT, I do have plans to get outside and ride. Just waiting on the right time for a friend to cue me in on the techniques.

Earthquakes? We are way overdue and I hope it stays that way.

Haven't dug it out yet, but just ordered a KK road 2.0. I can commute until the first good snow. After a good snow it is off for me since I can only get to work, safely, on the trails and they don't get plowed and become way too soggy even if the snow melts. I hope we don't have much snow or at least not until late in the season. Only had very light flurries the other day,

My home town had 31" of snow the day after I left, I despise riding a trainer, moved in with daughter in Austin TX. No trainer for me this winter.

Even though it's raining today, it's one of those cold rains, that is just about the only thing WORSE then snow....
