Yeah, just noticed it this afternoon as I was trying to figure out a new bike route. That's really a awesome addition to Google Maps!

I tried it and it does not seem to pop up yet.

    Maybe a windows XP issue.

I use the elevation profiles to make sure that my rides have enough hills, not to avoid them.

    Avoid steep hills? Really?

Having a flat tire as part of the total cycling experience is highly overrated. Knowing how to fix one quickly is not.

The site gmap-pedometer.com has shown elevation and calories burned for a number of years. I believe it's a google site?

It appears there are some minimum elevations required for the graph to display. Short flat rides won't generate a profile. You also need to have the bicycling mode set.

To all, I tried Boulder Co to Brainard Lake with google chrome and IE, and yes I did click on the bicycle. Did not work.

Using the link above and changing the locations worked.

My stored favorites link is https://maps.google.com/maps and as well as https://www.google.com/maps seems to be the issue.
    Using https://www.google.com/maps/dir/ does work.
