Unsupported Flag Day century

Finally got one of my little jaunts etched in pencil. I get dropped off in Milford, OH, June 13, a Friday. On Saturday I head out from there to Springfield via the Little Miami River Trail, ending up at the reservoir, around 71 miles or so. Then I turn back to beautiful downtown Xenia and take the Dayton spur to the northeast side of the city, and travel south on the Greater Miami River Trail to the U of Dayton area. That should be around 110 miles, plus or minus.

It's all board flat, so the only potential problem would be global atmospheric perturbation. Ya never know.

Anyone out that way is welcome to join me, except when I get to Dayton.

I'll be the guy on a canary yellow Bacchetta bent, snarling "On yer left, you little b*st*rds" at the little kids on their Hello Kitty bikes.

I'll be flying the flag.

This should get me my June Gran Fondo award. The Strava April jersey is the best jersey I own now.

Mrs. Grouch, me and the redundant recumbent are headed to Xenia in a week and a half. We'll wave as you pass us. If you pass politely, it'll be a full five finger wave.

So that will put you there several days before I get there. You'll not see me, courteous or no.

I live in Louisville. My wife has family in Dayton, hence the logistics.

While you're in Xenia, make sure you take in the sights and attractions: Six Flags over Xenia; Xenia Disney Territory; the Hanging Gardens of Xenia; Xenia Uber Alles (a beer garden). All great fun.

I'll be with Mrs. Grouch. We'll be fine.
