NoraFox here at 76 > 77 - 50th
I am posting because I know that my hubbie, DnvrFox, is taking some time off because he feels that anything he posts creates ill-feeling and arguments.
Yes, I still ride on my Trek hybrid - like 10 mile rides, plus I do aquaerobics and am finishing some swimming lessons, as I never learned to swim in my younger years. I love the bicycling, the swimming, the aquaerobics, singing with the XY ZIngers, my writing and my gardening.
Anyway, I wanted to share that we will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary July 3rd, and are having a dinner with friends this Saturday. Then some time in Carbondale, CO for riding the Rio Grande Trail between Carbondale and Basalt - and a cruise in October. (I hope he got me a present - hint! hint!)
I hope this post is not too controversial. I only post every couple of years. Yes, I will be 77 in November.
Thanks, all.

Some of us suffer from thinner skin as we get older. It's not a disease, just happens.
Some others of us suffer emotional involvement from the slings and arrows of anonymous internet users. This is a sign of the times.
Just keep good ol Denver occupied with lots of things to keep him diversified. It's healthy, but won't cure thin skin-itus.
Stay well.

Congrats on 50 years. I miss DnvrFox's posts but I have to agree that there are some on these forums who
just like to be critical. I hope both of you keep posting.

Congratulations to both of you! I'm very happy for you. I for one am sorry that Denver doesn't post more often; I enjoyed reading them.

Congratulations on your anniversary. That is an accomplishment to be proud of! Riding at 76 is pretty cool, too. I have 12 years to go to get to that point and I hope (and plan) to be as active as you are. It'll keep us young.

Congrats to you and Denver, Nora, and thanks for posting. I remember our dinner at Fish House Vera Cruz in Carlsbad.
When one of my other friends celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary, she said she gave her husband a medal.

Hey Noral! Joe from the first 50+ annual ride in Glenwood Springs here. Congrats on the landmark wedding anniversary and enjoy the Carbondale/Basalt Riding. That area is wonderful for riding. Maybe you can even make it back over to Woody Creek!!

I must be missing something ... I didn't see any controversial posts. In any case, life is too short to get butthurt about someone else's opinion.

I must always miss when Dnvr gets in a fight with others.... the threads I read were always interesting and I enjoy what Dnvr has to say... but then again I hang around in P & R so, manybe alot of stuff rolls off my back or I am so clueless I don't get what's going on.
Anyway I always miss Dnvr - please tell him so.
Congrats on 50 years!!! What a beautiful accomplishment especially in this day and age when it seems just about every marriage ends in divorce. Sounds like you have something special planned with friends and family. Please report back and let us know how it goes.

Happy Anniversary folks. Not too many couples can say they have a 50 years. And I really don't know why Denver gets some of the crazy responses he's gotten lately. It's really kind of a mystery to me.
