Pulled the trigger today

I've been looking at several Cannondale models this week. Talked with the shop owner and learned that Cannondale has a "crash replacement policy". They take back the old bike (my 2013 CAAD 10 2) and give a 30% discount on a new bike. Without the discount the Supersix EVO carbon was out of my price range. But now the 105 and the Ultegra are less than what the insurance company is paying me.
Bob (the shop mechanic) had his bike at the shop today for me to test ride. His bike is WAY more than I'm looking at. He has a 2014 Supersix EVO HI-MOD Dura Ace. It cost about 3 times as much as the bike I'm looking at. Took it for a short test ride and loved the Supersix EVO.
I was originally considering the CAAD 10 3, CAAD 10 5, Supersix EVO carbon Ultegra, and Supersix EVO carbon 105. After the test ride I'm sold on the Supersix EVO carbon.
Bob said the new 105 shifts just as well as the Ultegra and unless I really want the Ultegra he wouldn't recommend spending the extra money.
So after one last look at all the options I called the bike shop and ordered the Supersix EVO carbon 105 in black. Here's the website pic. I'll post the real thing when it arrives.

I approve this trigger-pulling.

Can't see anything to upgrade... so I'll just recommend some white handlebar tape

Me too. The old CAAD 10 was only 4 months old and had about 500 miles max.

It should arrive in time for the Rails to Trails ride so I plan on riding it then.

You will love that bicycle, Ron. Hope the time passes quickly. Want me to say hello to anyone in Atlanta this weekend?

Now we must discuss cages.

I'm thinking something carbon with just a hint of color.

I now have my second Cannondale equipped with 105. They have performed flawlessly!

Enjoy!

Very nice you will like it. Friend bought one several months ago with Sram Red he really likes it, it did have a noise in the crank they ended up replacing it something was in the crank arm most likely s loose piece from machining floating around inside.
But it did get corrected and since they did not have the same model he got a free upgrade to a better crank

I respectfully disagree, nice shiny chrome to off set the black. And add a bit of bling.

Nice bike BTW

Why in the world are you going up there. We don't miss it at all. Too much traffic, too many people, etc.

Not for me. I tried that style a few years ago when I got my Felt Z4. Couldn't get the bottles out without a fight. All my bikes have had regular bottle cages -- stainless steel (can't afford the Ti cages) on my Litespeed and semigloss black on my other bikes.

Congrats on the new bike. Hope to see you next Saturday at the Rails to Trail ride. I'm doing at least 65 miles of it (if not the full century) with two friends of mine and the wife is doing a 30 mile solo on her new ICE trike.

John, the ride is Sunday Oct 5, not Saturday.
I'll be looking for you and any other BF members that may be riding.

Extremely good reason to go up to Atlanta this weekend, our daughter lives there, she works for the GBI, went to UGA for her masters degree.
