I must be full of bull, the last few days I've been eating mostly beef. Fitting, since I'm about as pure a Tauran [born May (taurus) 1961 (ox)] as one can get. . . .

Sorry, haven't been back to this thread for a while. There is lots of recent research showing that vitamin supplementation is at best a scam and at worst, harmful. It's easy to find using google. but here is an accessible review of some of it.
Plus, here is an abstract of research in The Lancet indicating that antioxidant supplementation appears to increase, rather than prevent, mortality from gastro-intestinal cancers.
There's much, much more. Ditch the supplements unless you have some sort of evidence that you are deficient. Even then, vegetables and sunshine (or brazil nuts, in the case of selenium) are almost certainly superior to artificial supplementation.

I've replaced the majority of the meat in my diet with pinto and black beans, and lentils. There is a difference. My blood test numbers have all markedly improved.
Plus I garden and (try to) avoid junk.

See above. Being outdoors for an hour each day, even in relatively poor weather, will give you all the D you need. You're quite right about C, though, anyone who eats lots of fruit and veg is swimming in the stuff.
