That was in October. The trails were very dry, I rode a lot and didnt wash the bike for several weeks. No cars to deal with, total serenity.

And no need for a mirror, unless you have grizzlies in the area.

That is such a cool bike!

BTW, is "Middle of da Mitten" referring to Michigan? As a Canadian who once lived in MI, trying to explain to people where we lived we often referred to the state by holding up our hand, like in a mitten.

I have so many pictures that I love, both of bikes and with people that I've had a great time cycling with in 2014! Lots of great memories.

But if I have to post just one ... it would be this one. For starters, I'm not much of a person for riding in the cold, and secondly, how often do you see a bike next to frozen waterfall?

Great shot! I like how the contrast of the white makes the paint pop.

No frozen waterfalls but I can offer a shot of my (sold in May) '85 Trek 460:

Yes, I live in the Lansing area in Michigan. Michiganders have maps with them wherever they go.

It was a wonderful summer in the PNW.
Lots of sunshine with only 2 - 3 days over 90 degrees.

If this weren't the 50+ forum I would have assumed that you "shuttled" the bike to this view point, as is usually the case around these parts with the downhillers.

Amazing view!
