It certainly made you smarter particularly if you were listening Mozart's music written by an angel accompanied by celestial harmonies!--so they say!

Perry Como singing "Some Enchanted Evening". Except that was here in the USA, and mom and I weren't.

Mine was rather foreboding. " Rags to Riches" by Tony Bennett. It was on the radio lots in the 60's.
Been a gambler since I was 20, lottery and roulette. Finally won second prize Christmas Eve 2011, four days before my birthday. Amounted to 10 years my wages. I kept every last ticket I've boughten.

This seems to be a better song to be conceived by, which I was. By the time I got out, it was Running Bear, which seems apt.

As much as I like Perry Como, I like Giorgio Tozzi's version better.
Saw a live performance of South Pacific some years ago with a singer who closely approximated Giorgio. It was great.

This wasn't a music review thread. Como's version was at the top of the charts for about a month straddling my birth date, hence he gets the credit. As far as the original recording goes, it should be obvious by the title of the thread, that I wasn't around when South Pacific opened on Broadway. (though I did see a revival some decades later)
