New Bike fitting help

Hi,

I found a bike that I'm interested in on Craigslist but it is about a 2.5 hour drive to get to the owner so I want to get a general idea if the bike will fit me before I go down. I am about 5"8.5 with a 32" inseam. None of the bike shops in my area carry the model of the bike I'm looking at so I can't test it out before meeting the seller.

The bike is a CAAD 10 105 full carbon and is a 53cm bike.

I have ridden 54cm bikes and those seem to fit me pretty well. Will the 53cm bike be to small for me?

Thanks!

Do you know what year it is? To my knowledge, current CAAD 10s come in 52cm and then 54cm. Also, they are aluminum bikes with carbon forks, not full carbon frames. Anyways, I am actually very close to your dimensions, at least in terms of height and inseam. I'm about a quarter inch taller with a slightly shorter inseam. For me, the 52cm would probably have been the right choice. But Even in that size, I was in a fairly aggressive stance, with practically no bend in my elbows.

I'm not saying the fit was right or wrong, just trying to give you a rough idea of what to expect since we are of similar proportions. I guess it would be worth a try, but maybe a smidge big.
